A Portuguese Samifi successfully completed the detailed design, assembly and commissioning of a high-power industrial heat pump for the Central Society of Beers Group Heineken).

This innovative solution has been integrated into a complex energy recovery system developed by Siemens, which acted as the contracting authority and main contractor.
This project represents an important technological milestone and demonstrates the capability of Portuguese engineering to develop sustainable, innovative, and highly technically complex industrial solutions.

The natural energy-carrying fluid in a heat pump is ammonia.R717and allows for the production of hot water at high temperatures with a thermal capacity of 6 MW, maximising the energy efficiency of the industrial process, and contributing to a significant reduction in natural gas consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
The installation was designed from the ground up for the possibility of expansion up to 8 MW.
